(Watch) Patricia’s Journey: Motherhood, Grief & Finding Connection
When Patricia first came to Cope, she was navigating the challenges of new motherhood with few social connections and little support. She had moved to Napa just months before the COVID-19 pandemic began, and a year into the pandemic, she welcomed her first child, Paula. In addition to the isolation she was experiencing, Patricia and her family were also struggling financially, and her husband’s health challenges added even more stress. The weight of it all took a toll on her mental health.
That started to change when Patricia was referred to Cope. Through the Home Visiting Program, Patricia and her family found the support and connection they needed to navigate some of life’s most difficult moments, including pregnancy loss, grief, and isolation. Today, they’re continuing their journey with Cope as they welcome their second child into the family.
