Volunteer Spotlight

Julie Garrett

Julie has been volunteering at Cope for almost 10 years. She first got involved when she responded to a call for volunteers for the Napa River Rock & Stroll, one of Cope’s previous fundraising events.

Today she is one of our most active volunteers. She is on the Ambassador’s Circle, a group of our most committed volunteers, and has volunteered through many events and campaigns including Holiday Glam & Giving, Blue Plate Special, Blue Ribbon Month and many others.

Most recently she stepped up to help with Paint the Town Blue by distributing materials to Blue Ribbon Businesses to raise awareness and funds for Child Abuse Prevention Month. This year’s Blue Ribbon Month Campaign raised over $80,000 which Julie helped to achieve.

By volunteering Julie helps to empower parents with the guidance they need to raise children who thrive. When asked why Cope’s work holds a special place in her heart, Julie shared,

“I have always believed that kids should get to be kids and in homes where the families are under a great deal of stress or don’t have access to resources, that doesn’t happen. Volunteering with Cope is not only a way to help prevent child abuse and help families succeed, it is a great way to be a part of what makes our community great.”

Thank you so much Julie for all you have done over the years to strengthen families and our community. We are so grateful for your commitment to Cope’s mission over the years.
