Social Media Internship
Cope is seeking a Social Media intern to assist with the managing of our social media presence. This person will help create content, help come up with ideas, maintain engagement on Facebook and Instagram pages and schedule content. They will be trained on both platforms, and how to create and schedule quality content in alignment with organization messaging guidelines. This person has a strong interest in building their skill set in social media, marketing, graphic design, writing/storytelling, or other related field. They will be able to shadow programs throughout the organization to learn more about working at a nonprofit in the various departments. This position is ideal for students looking for internships or those seeking volunteer hours over the summer.
Start & End Dates: Start ASAP and work through July 31st with opportunity to continue after that.
Schedule: Estimating a total of 6-10hrs/week during business hours (M-F 8:30am-5:00pm) and on at least 3-4 regularly scheduled days per week.
Skills Needed: Bilingual preferred but not required. Ideal for a student looking for a summer internship and/or someone who has a strong interest in building their skill set in social media, marketing, graphic design, writing, or other related field. Must already be familiar with Facebook and Instagram and be comfortable working on other web-based platforms. Spreadsheet experience required.
Support Provided to Volunteers: Intern will be trained how to manage professional social media pages, how to draft content and manage editorial calendar. Intern will also have opportunity to shadow other departments to learn about programs and internal workings of a nonprofit.
