Blue Ribbon Campaign Organizers
Help us during Blue Ribbon Month by supporting many different activities and events that will raise awareness and funds for child abuse prevention in our community! As a Blue Ribbon Campaign organizer you’ll be helping with:
Paint the Town Blue: connecting with local businesses to ask for their partnership in preventing child abuse in our community by distributing information and raising/donating funds to Cope’s programs.
Blue Ribbon Social Media Challenge: coordinate and help promote the social media challenge to get community members involved in the campaign
Kids Day: help plan and manage a free, family event on April 30th open to all children and their families in Napa County
And more!
Frequency: January to April
Schedule: Whenever convenient for you! Outreach can be done in the evenings, weekends or weekdays. Time to occasionally check in with staff and other volunteers during business hours (M-F 8:30am-5pm) is also needed. Can be done from home!
Skills Needed: Variety of skills are helpful! Great communicator who are comfortable making calls to business owners and managers, sending emails and following up with them would be ideal to help with Paint the Town Blue. A social media savvy person would be great to help with the social media challenge. Those who like planning events, coordinating details and supporting families would be a good fit for Kids Day. And many other opportunities to help throughout the monthlong campaign for those who want to support Child Abuse Prevention Month!
Support Provided to Volunteers: Volunteers will be trained for each task they are asked to support with. Staff support will be available ongoing through the campaign to answer questions and assist.
*Volunteers will need to sign a confidentiality agreement since you’ll be seeing supporter contact information. We will also need to run a background check (standard for most volunteer opportunities).
