welcoming eduardo and tami to the cope team
We are excited to welcome Eduardo Rivera and Tami Ortega to the Cope Family Center team! Each brings passion and dedication to Cope’s mission and unique perspectives and experience to their roles.
Eduardo joins us as Cope’s new Family Engagement Program Manager.
“For the past 10 years (and counting), my jobs have involved helping those in my community. I hope to continue this passion of mine at Cope Family Center. My ideal world would be where my community is thriving and healthy. I whole-heartedly believe this is possible and Cope has a crucial role in providing safe spaces where families can learn or further enforce their ability to thrive and live out their healthiest lives. I am happy to be part of the Cope family and together we will continue to bring change to our community.
Cope’s mission statement is important to me because all children deserve to be in homes where they are cared for, loved and nurtured. Cope is a catalyst in the effort to create thriving communities where children are cared for, are loved, and are nurtured, so that they grow up to be successful individuals who will end up contributing and making our communities better for everyone.
An interesting fact about me is that I love dancing. Movement has been part of my healing journey. Any opportunities that involve dancing, I am there! Dancing is an outlet for my mind, body, and soul!”
Tami joins us as Cope’s newest Family Support Specialist.
“After nearly a decade of working with Resource (Foster) Families and the children under their care, I wanted to work with young families to provide the type of support that all the kiddos on my caseload over the years and their families would have benefited from.
All families deal with stress and hard times. It is a gift to be able to help and reduce the harm to these families.
An interesting fact about me is that I am currently crocheting a granny square Afghan for my son that is in the pattern of the Fibonacci golden ratio.
Cope has been very welcoming and warm. I am so glad to be here!”
