Cope’s February 2024 Newsletter

HELLO!

I hope you and your loved ones stayed safe and dry during this weekend's storm! January was a busy month for us here at Cope. Our 2024 started off jam packed with Positive Parenting Awareness Month, a family connection event, and more!

With Valentine's day almost here, we wanted to share some simple but impactful ways to show your child you love them. As always, we appreciate all the love that manifests here at Cope, and we are so grateful for our clients, staff, donors, and volunteers. Thank your for your unwavering support of Cope, our community, and the families we serve.

Gratefully,
Jessica

Positive parenting awareness month

The Napa County Board of Supervisors proclaimed January 2024 as the 6th Annual Positive Parenting Awareness Month in Napa County and praised Napa County Triple P providers, including Cope, for their work with Napa County families. Positive Parenting Awareness Month is dedicated to highlighting the importance for parents to develop positive parenting skills so they can build warm and nurturing relationships with their children.

The California Assembly also proclaimed January as Positive Parenting Awareness Month for the fifth year in a row on January 23rd. Cope and other Triple P providers journeyed to Sacramento for a collective day of advocating for positive parenting programs in budget and policy decisions, with the goal of making positive parenting programs and resources accessible to all families in California.

Cope’s Family Vision Board Event

As a positive way to kick off the new year, our Home Visiting Program hosted a Family Connection event for families to create their own vision boards! Families and Home Visitors gathered at Cope to sift through a heaping collection of magazines and stationary to create vision boards for the new year. These collages are a creative way to express one's hopes and dreams, as well as a way for parents to reflect on their goals for creating a positive year for themselves and their families.
