Welcoming Citlali, Cope’s New Community Engagement Coordinator
We are excited to welcome Citlali to the Cope team as our new Community Engagement Coordinator! Citlali has a background in communications and recently moved back to California after living in Japan for a year and a half.
Among her responsibilities in this dynamic role, Citlali will engage with the community to spread awareness of Cope’s mission and services, work with Cope’s volunteers, and assist with advocacy efforts to promote a safe, healthy, and equitable community for Napa Valley’s families.
“I have always been someone who tries to get involved with their community. I believe that there is so much one can learn from others, regardless of their background. This is a big reason why I want to work in outreach, and why I received my Bachelor’s in Communications. I wanted to better understand and communicate with others of different backgrounds. After learning about Cope’s mission, their work, and their dedication to helping the Napa Valley community, I knew it would be a great place for me to work and share my passion.
As someone whose family benefited from a similar organization as Cope, I think it is important that every parent feels confident in raising their children and knows that they are not alone. Children are our future, and providing resources and support to families so that their children can grow into thriving adults will help us build a better tomorrow for our community.
I hope to learn more about the people who make up the Napa Valley community, whether they are a donor, volunteer, or parent looking to or receiving support from Cope. I hope to make a difference by reaching more people in a way that helps our community continue to thrive.”
