The Child Abuse Prevention Council of Napa County (CAPC) collaborates and advocates for public policy that impacts children’s safety and healthy development. CAPC raises awareness and engages the community in child abuse prevention efforts. CAPC is led by Cope Family Center and has comprises many other nonprofits, government agencies, faith-based organizations and more.

mANDATED REPORTER tRAININGS

CAPC organizes and coordinates Mandated Reporter Trainings to educate professionals who work with children (teachers, childcare workers, etc.) and interested community members to recognize the signs of abuse and learn how to report it.

Every year, CAPC presents an updated report on the status of children and families in Napa County to the Board of Supervisors with recommendations on how our community can better support families.

Blue Ribbon Month

Led by Cope Family Center, CAPC supports and promotes the annual Blue Ribbon Month Campaign in April, Child Abuse Prevention Month. This campaign raises awareness and funds for prevention services in Napa County.
